Hi
When I wrote the songs for this CD, the first song I wrote became the album title.

 

There Was Only Me - Although this song was written in humour, it has a clear message to anyone who feel things are beyond their capabilities. All I ever wanted to do was write songs and sing, but I had to become much more and I learnt very early on (quite painfully) that the only person you can really trust and rely on to stand by you through thick and thin and get you through life's problems is yourself. Another lesson learnt in my life that has made me more of the person I am.

Pocket - I have an old worn and warm jacket that comes out every winter and out of the pocket of that jacket I find the most amazing things and sometimes amazing things happen in dreams so I wondered what could I pull from my pocket in a dream.

Anymore - "One day you wake up and you just don't give a damn, you're too tired to fight it and too tired to care". Sometimes a person reaches a point in their life where they have to stop trying to be everything to everyone.

Sarah Jane - I wrote this song for Sarah Jane the day she was born before I had even seen her, but I know her mum so I knew she would be beautiful.

Sail Away - I wrote this song for all the days when you wish you were a child again and could leave all your troubles and responsibilities behind and you and your best friend could ride away on a magical white horse or just sail away on a big white ship.

Dont Misunderstand me -  What you see or think you see, is not always what you get. Too often we are labeled, misunderstood and blamed for the things that we don't do.

 

Fear - This is for all of us who experience fears of some sort,  fear of crowds, closed spaces, heights, strangers and danger. "Here I stand in a room full of strangers, here I walk down a hall with no doors, and here is me all alone with the danger and here is me Im so scared I will fall".

 

Fantasy Man - Every woman needs a fantasy man in her life, someone who understands her, cares for her, touches her in ways she's never been touched before but sadly he's only a fantasy - or is he?

 

A lot of very talented people worked very hard on this CD and I would like to sincerely thank them all.
